About Our Foundation
The Teca Pinheiro Garville Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Awareness Foundation has been established to promote better awareness of MBC.<br/>MBC is a form of stage 4 cancer with no current cure.<br/>Metastatic breast cancer is always considered advanced stage IV breast cancer because it has spread (metastasized) to different organs or lymph nodes far from the breast.<br/>25-30% of women with breast cancer also develop MBC.<br/>The Foundation's pledge is to make it mandatory for the medical community to better educate normal breast cancer patients on MBC to promote early detection.
